STO

The STO, Sub-Timbral Oscillator, is an analog oscillator built on a triangle core, the more subtle and melodic friend of the DPO.

Key features

• Sine output, shaped from the triangle
• Sub output, a stepped rectangular wave one octave below, turned on and off by the S-GATE input
• Variable Shape output, derived from the sine, rippling even and odd harmonics while keeping the fundamental strong
• FREQ sets the coarse tune over nine octaves and FINE trims it by two and a half semitones
• Linear FM with its attenuator, hard SYNC, and SHAPE with its CV input shape the timbre
• EXPO and 1V/OCT inputs set the pitch
