Description
The Optomix is a dual low pass gate built on vactrols, controlling both the amplitude and the tone of a signal the way the Buchla 292 did.
Key features
- A signal input and a CONTROL input with its combo pot on each channel
- A DAMP input with its combo pot that shapes the gate's response
- A STRIKE input that plucks the vactrol for percussive sounds without an envelope
- Channel 1's output normalled to channel 2's input
- An AUX input joins both channels at the SUM output, so Optomixes chain into larger mixers
