Description

The ACL M/S Matrix converts a stereo signal between left/right and mid/side, in both directions.

Key features

  • Upper section encodes: L IN and R IN become a mid output (the sum of both channels) and a side output (their difference)
  • Lower section decodes: M IN and S IN become L OUT and R OUT again
  • Its own level control on each of the four inputs
  • Changes the width of a stereo image by adjusting the side signal against the mid
  • Mid and side can be processed separately in between, for example with different effects or dynamics
