Delay 1

A fully analogue bucket brigade delay line in 12 HP, driven by its own temperature-compensated high-frequency clock for delay times from 1 to 50 ms. Running that clock above 20 kHz removes the whine BBD delays are known for while keeping a wide range of delay.

• A new control circuit with an integrated compander keeps distortion and noise low at any signal level
• Coarse and fine time knobs, with a volt per octave input and a time modulation input
• Blend, feedback and damping each with a modulation input and knob; lowpass or highpass feedback filter, sum or anti feedback polarity
• A built-in pluck generator strikes the delay line for Karplus-Strong sounds; an HF input and output let an external clock take over or two modules run in step
• Split-phase topology: two dry/wet mixes, their sum and their difference, beside a fully wet delay output
• Chorus, flanger, echo, mono-to-stereo conversion and complementary comb filtering
