Sonic XV

A four pole diode ladder filter after the Musonics Sonic V of the early 1970s. Two waveshapers take it past filtering: with four CV inputs, it adds harmonics as well as taking them away.

Key features

• 24 dB and 6 dB low pass and band pass outputs
• Resonance under voltage control, its level corrected on the 24 dB output
• Six stage diode breakpoint wavefolder on the input, blended wet and dry, its drive set by hand or by voltage
• Three position bias switch for the wavefolder
• A second waveshaper in the resonance loop adds distortion, also blended and voltage controlled
