Description
A ring modulator, two sub bass generators and a mixer.
Key features
- Vintage, discrete transistor four quadrant multiplier with three inputs: X, Y and a more resonant Z
- A switch doubles the frequency, an octave up from a single triangle or sine
- Two sub bass generators track the X input one and two octaves down with shaped waves, from rounded trapezoids to near sines, softer than square subs
- Five input DC coupled mixer after the early 1970s CP3 design, taking the ring modulator, X, Y and both subs by default, or any signal patched in
- Its fifth input runs hotter and clips, asymmetrically once a DC offset is added
